University of Washington Poll Shows Race for Governor a Toss-Up

(Seattle, Wash.) - Yesterday a poll released from the University of Washington/KCTS/Crosscut shows the race for governor tightening up as Election Day approaches. The poll put incumbent Jay Inslee at 46% and Bill Bryant at 42%, among decided voters. With just 11 days to go, an incumbent so far under 50%, a challenger on his heels, and a trend toward Bryant points to an Election Day photo finish.

“Voters are starting to pay attention to Governor Inslee’s record of failure and they're seeing a better alternative,” said Bryant. “This poll shows what we’ve said all along, that once voters hear our message of reducing traffic, addressing homelessness, fixing school funding, and creating jobs, they become Bill Bryant voters . We have some work to do to get those undecided and leaning voters to our side, but with 11 days left we’re confident our hard work will pay off.”
